I had the opportunity to explore the Coolart Historic Area, which boasts a magnificent late Victorian-era farming property with diverse natural habitats, including significant wetlands. It's an easy day trip from Melbourne, offering plenty of activities for the whole family. Visitors can wander through the historic Homestead, built by Frederick Sheppard Grimwade in 1895, and view the Grimwade photograph collection. Imagine what life would have been like when Coolart was a farm estate. The wetlands offer an opportunity to spot a diverse range of birdlife or take a guided park walk. It's a perfect destination for anyone who loves history, nature, and photography.
